Re: Thinking about buying, and I have questions.

For warranty work most manufacturers want a copy of the receipt, from an authorized dealer as proof of purchase.  The warranty card isn't really needed.  If the difference between this unit and new was only about $200, I know I would opt for the new one.

Hello. Someone is selling a Canon 6D with Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 for 2200. I asked if he had the receipt, but he said he didn't because it was a gift from a relative. He said that the warranty card isn't filled. When filling out the warranty card would one have to show the receipt, or Canon doesn't ask for it?

I would buy the camera now if I could sell my gear.

If I were to get it I would sell the EF 24-105mm to buy either the Canon 50mm F1.8 or the Canon 40mm 2.8. Which one would you get out of these two? I mostly shoot wide, and it would be temporary until I can afford the Sigma 35mm F1.4. That lens looks soooo good.
