Thanks Joe,

I cannot find a set of instructions as to how those IJF cartridges are refilled.

Can you point me to a URL?

Tony

Better than that I'll point you to my vid. Just watch that parts about filling the IJF carts

I am using CONE Thrift Dye inks on one of the 3800s\

Remove OEM chip from original Epson Cart and place in chip compartment, they can only go in one way. Replace the controller chip directly on top.

Add 70ml or so of ink to the cart through the fill hole.

Insert plug.

Lay cart on its side, so the primming port is facing up.

Remove big Orange Vent plug.

Insert empty syringe into priming port.

Draw back syringe plunger until you are drawing liquid ink and no air.

Replug Primming port and replug air vent hole.

Top off the cart with ink.

Insert into printer.

WITH IJF CARTS, ALL CART MUST BE REPLACED AT ONCE AS A COMPLETE SET.

WITH CONE CARTS, YOU CAN REPLACE THEM ONE BY ONE.

Now for the negative aspects of these types of carts. Watch my video on the subject.
