I bought this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/360578520458, there are still 4 left at the moment.

It seems that they are the only seller selling these. ...

Yes, you are so right: 40.5mm does NOT fit the X10.

The ad from eBay quotes that "For Fujifilm X10 users, this adapter maybe little bit loose, you may need to use tape to work on your adapter to fit on your lens."

Is that so?

The 40mm thread fits perfectly(just received my 40-46mm and 40-52mm stepup rings). I think what they meant to say is: with the 40-46mm stepup ring fitted, the lens cap does not fit as tightly anymore as the contact area does not reach the area where it fits snugly anymore - the cap can actually dislodge and fall off while handling. The ring is very secure itself.

Something that I did notice from my own experience and other people's wide adapter shots, is that it seems like the X10 sensor is slightly offset to one side and vignetting seems very pronounced only on the left side of the pics.

Anyone else also pickup on this?
