I couldn't agree more. This is a clear case of not getting close enough and cropping too much (especially with the higher ISO). In my (limited) experience that is also where the challenge is found with BiF, because you have to be able to somewhat predict where a bird will be flying in order to position yourself close enough.

Keep trying though, csn. It really isn't such a bad attempt.
