14mm CORNER SHARPNESS AT F2.8 unscientific test
After the last post regarding the 14mm corner sharpness, I thought I would do a quick little test to show anybody still wondering how this lens performs wide open. I focused on the base of the tree in each shot. I then recomposed to put that tree base into each of the four corners. I then show each corner at 100% to show how sharp each corner looks. Decide for yourself if that is sharp enough for you. For me, the sharpness of this lens is showing itself to be a real winner. I am still wishing the focus lock was quicker but I am learning to live with it.
