There is NOTHING that is wrong in that bird shot. This lens is good. very, very good.

As I understand both glass and the sensor contribute to the final image. here the top has held up perfectly. One part of this genere (and is alos probably true for other genres too) is that technique has a big role to play.

You HAVE focused right, used an aperture that is optimal for sharpness and exposed properly- a sure recipe for a lovely shot - no matter what lens. Once again, proper technique is a very important factorial in a god image.

How that ultra expensive 560mm will do... let us wait and see its performance when light is poor, birds are frisky and the shooter chilled to the bones..
