I recently picked up an SD9 on ebay. Seller said that the camera had not been used for 5 yrs.
The camera is in good physical condition and i replaced all the batteries and the camera appears to be functioning normally.
However, I noticed a strong smell coming from the camera after taking a few pictures, it smelled just like new brake linings (did 20 yrs ago).
Anyone with a SD9, is this normal or is it a known problem? I am wondering if it is just due to the camera not being used in so long but I wonder if it will turn into a real problem?
I havent tried a really shooting session yet as the rain started as the postman delivered the package.. just hoping it will not burst into flames.
