Why aren't there any compact fullframe zoom cameras?

Re: Because they are not easy to make

The RX-100's sensor is less than 1/7 the area of a full-frame sensor.  You'll notice its maximum focal length is 37.1mm, and the RX-1 has a 35mm.  A full-frame zoom is going to need to be bigger and you'd lose the "compact" aspect.  Look at the Sony NEX.  The body's small, but put the 18-55mm on it, and you can't exactly fit it in your pocket anymore.
