I want to thank everyone for their input in this decision. I broke down and ordered a D 300s for a few hundred dollars more than a D 300. It was rated as a E+ where I ordered it. I figured that with the dual card slot and a more recent model

( hopefully less shutter accuations ), and a few other things it was a better deal in the long run. It has a larger LCD and higher dots than my D 80 also. Fortunately, it uses the same EN EL3e battery. So with this purchase I'll have three batteries and two chargers.

I ordered an F 6 from this company a year ago in about the same condition and it hardly looks used at all.

Can someone tell me the free software that tells how many shutter actuations the D 300s has when I receive it?

PhotoMe will give the shutter count.

My D 80 has between 3-4,000 shutter actuations in about 5 years.

I'll probably wait until I get the camera before I order a hard copy of the user's manual since I can look at it online for now.
