There appears to be no need to wait for some sort of "technology" advances emerging from, and implemented by, DPR administrative staff in order to implement all three of the above procedures.

Yes, those simple techniques are the ones we have to use. And I will, until we moderators have some other facilities on our tools.

I commend you for your stated intention to implement the three simple to do, and helpfully informative, procedures listed above in sections ([1], [2], and [3] of the quoted text above.

Since the above three moderator actions relating to threads (not relating to individual posts) are not allowed to be discussed in forum posts, it makes good common sense that the moderator or administrator who takes such actions provide such a notice to members and readers on a forum.

I have just done that for a thread I had to move, but locked it.

And yes I understood your reasons on the statement you made on the other post.

Providing public notice in this manner not only informs all affected members and readers as to what has occured (in one relatively simple action to perform) - it also is clearly far more efficient for moderators and administrators than would be receiving individual PM inquiries from members, and having to answer each and every inquiry separately. Thus, it makes good common sense on all levels.

When people who take responsibility provide such a sense of open accountability, it serves to engender understanding and respect for those individuals, and for their chosen actions. Excellent.

Maybe this thread is going to be more useful than what I thought at first. Because with these good contributions from the users that care, will be good that the Admins see this. I will sent to them the thread address when I think it is the right time.
