Oly 12mm or 17/1.8 for em5?

Better? IMHO the 12mm is better.

That being said, the fov is pretty different between the two.  For the three uses you indicate above, I prefer the 12mm for Landscape & Cityscape generally (particularly in low light).  For street photos, I prefer the 17mm (still enough background, but a tighter focus).

If i were you, I would probably opt for the 12mm.  It is a focal length that you don't currently have, and the street value has adjusted, whereas the 17mm is so new it remains at MSRP.  You can always grab one later when the value drops.

On the other hand, you might want the subject isolation of f1.8 with the 17mm...
