I am going to Seattle next week and plan to go out in the golden hour, one evening to get a good shot of Seattle and the City Skyline.

Any recommendations where to go for the one best shot ?

Hi Peter,

The golden hour? The next golden hour in Seattle will be in about 5 months.

I'm only half kidding. It is gray and rainy here for months on end during the winter. You can literally go for days (weeks!) here in Seattle and not see the sun. As a photographer, it can be pretty depressing. However, every now and then you'll get a day or two of super clear blue skies and it is truly spectacular, especially with the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

I live just a few blocks from Kerry Park on Queen Anne, and it is very popular for tourists and photographers alike. You will most likely get the best light near sunset, for in the morning the sun will be too far south to give you much light on the city.

Best of luck with the weather and have a great trip!
