I think the Exif data from your iPhone tells you all you need to know here. A wider aperture was used therefore a slower shutter speed was possible which helped eliminate blur. There was also no + exposure compensation.

I would much rather have a slightly underexposed shot than one that is overexposed. It is invariably possible to bring back the detail in post but once you have blown out highlights you are stuffed.

As has also been said metering for the main subject of your composition is also a good idea. Spot metering would have helped here as much less of the dark areas of the composed frame would have been used to calculate the exposure.
