I shoot sports so it makes absolutely no difference to me (400 and 600) I am shocked at the the amount of flex in the lens collars and foot.  I have the Kirk foot on the 400 and its a big improvement  over the flex in the original (I bought it for the low profile and ease of getting it on and off my monopod with Markins clamp)

Like I said I shoot sports (panning, probably faster shutter speeds that nature work and from a monopod) but I always thought you wildlife photographers shooting at dusk and dawn at 1/40th must brace these things somehow (this was pre FX I guess now you can ramp up the ISO to help)
