What's the best size for a Beauty Dish?

That is like asking what car should I buy?
The answer depends on what you want to use it for.
With smaller beauty dishes you will probably need to be closer and will use it for smaller subjects. With larger beauty dishes you will want more flash power.
Keep in mind that a beauty dish will give you a very special type of light that is fairly evenly, but not perfectly evenly spread, and yet is still very directional. It isn't a hard light or a soft light but a mixture of the two. Be sure that this is the light modifier you need before buying one.-- hide signature --
