The A77 can quite happily take High ISO shots, useable for many purposes, yes they are not as sharp from ISO 800, but I was reading in one of the magazines a few months ago where they had a low light comparison of the 60D, D7000 and other where the A77 won hands down. The magazine commented that they all had noise and high ISO's but the A77's noise was not as aggressive, a more regular format making it easier to process.

Well done on the photos, you have a class leading camera, enjoy it.

I have been on a camera course  today with a professional, who went to lengths to explain the techniques of using a narrow depth of and ensuring correct focus in portraits o the eyes. The Canniks struggling in manual to get a focus point to light up showing the correct focus. On goes the focus peaking quick twist and bingo.
