I can't see from your profile where you are.   This advice is applicable if you live in the SE of the UK.

First of all, jump through the sensor cleaning hoops you have been offered.

Second, if the results at open aperture are still weird, take your camera to Miles Whitehead in West Malling.   He has experience with pellicle mirrors going back to the 70s - he is nearly as old as me - when Canon put their toe in the water and took it out,

And he has definitely done the business with my A55 for a fraction of what it would have cost to take or send it to the Sony repair centre.
