The 4/3 versions of these two lenses are so versatile and great value, considering zoom range and how sharp they are. They were Oly's best lens choices to develop and manufacture IMO.

The 12-60 has that extra reach good for portraits, so no need to change lenses (compared to a 12-35).

If Oly made the m4/3 version of these two, I probably would not need any other lenses 95% of the time for my OMD.

Then a 1.4 TC and system complete - happy chappy :-).

I wonder if 'I would probably not need any other lenses 95% of the time' is perhaps one of the reasons they wont build those lenses. I mean given a choice between a reiteration of a 12-60 2.8-4.0 or the 14-54 2.8-3.5 they might easily choose the 14-54 in consideration of their 12 2.0 prime sales. It would also make for a cheaper lens and bigger price differential with Panasonic.

My guess is that a 50-200 2.8-3.5 would be too big for M43 (the 4/3 is 995g). But I would be very happy with a 50-150 2.8-3.5 and it would be a good addition to my 75 1.8.
