My first star trail image in about 20 years. Still need lots of practice, less light pollution, and fewer jets. This was take from Lake Hemet, California. Light dome on the left is Los Angeles/Riverside/San Bernadino area, and on the right is Palm Springs/Palm Desert and Indio. 25 x 25 seconds, 10mm, f/3.5, 1600 ISO. C&C welcome!

Nicely done!

As a final step in your post processing, you can minimize the effects of light pollution by selecting (with the eye dropper) the colour of the light wash in the sky, and then dropping the saturation and luminance of that particular colour.  In your case I would leave just enough luminance to still show the horizon details as that helps make your image so apealing.

If I can get the DPReview image upload function working, I will post an example.
