Olympus doesn't need to create constant-aperture zooms just to satisfy videographers. People who are seriously into video will simply use the Panasonic zooms.

Unless Oly comes up with a 12-35/2.0-2.8.

I'm with the camp who thinks these new zooms will have variable apertures, more like the 14-54mm than the 12-60

Well, let's hope so. I am personally not so interested in the Panasonic 12-35/2.8 (a bit too short at the long end for a standard zoom based on my personal taste) so am sticking to my 14-45/3.5-5.6 for the time being. But I would think carefully about it if Oly would deliver a light and compact 12-50/2.8-4.0 or 12-45/2.8-4.0, particularly if it matches the optical performance of the FT 12-60. If Fuji can make a rather light (300 g), compact, and quite good 18-55/2.8-4.0 for APS-C, it shouldn't be impossible for Oly to squeeze in a bit more range and still go pretty much equal with the Fuji for size.
