I didn't see any mention of the crippled Auto ISO as implemented by Canon. We should have the option of adjusting it to at least ISO 6400 IMO. And I agree that locking the ISO at 80 for shots longer than 1 second is just plan goofy.

Look again, its in the con list and in the main part of the review

Here's your list of cons, no mention of Auto ISO limit of 1600. And the search function on my browser can't find it either:

Canon G15: Cons

  • Slightly lower battery life than its predecessors since the G7
  • Removal of Illuminated Dial Points
  • Lack of articulated screen (in favor of a larger more detailed one w/glass cover however)
  • Only ISO 80 available at exposures 1 second or less (same as S100)
  • Low ISO output not as clean as I'd like to see in the blue channel (giving way to better high ISO however)
  • Lack of noise reduction "off" setting for Jpegs

MY bad. Thought you were talking about the limited ISO from 1-15 second exposures. Set only to 80 at that point.

I don't consider a limit to 1600 in auto a con personally though.
