I'm a modest pro.

I find iPhoto very useful. I use it with iPhoto Library Manager so I can have multiple libraries and move pix among them.

+1 Same here. iPhoto is the best photo organizer/browser I have found, and I've tried lots of applications. When combined with iPhoto Library Manager it becomes even better. Being able to switch between, and even modify libraries is very useful.

As an editor it is very, very basic though. Along the lines of picasa. But you can easily set up any other application to be used as an external editor in iPhoto. I use it for its organizer features basically.

It's also pretty cool that you can so easily post pics onto fb, flicker, etc just by dragging them into certain smart folders. No need to mess with complicated uploading processes anymore.

If only I could make a smart folder for "Print at Walmart" so I could just drag some photos in and go pick them up in an hour
