14-24 or 24-70 ?

I am thinking the 24-70/2.8 is that lens. I have both the Nikkor 17-55/2.8 that I use on my DX bodies (D300, D200 and D100) and the Nikkor 24-70/2.8 that I use on my D700. IMO the results seem to be indistuinguisable.

IMO the 24-70, as numerous people have mentioned, is a fine lens. I know I am very happy with mine, last year it replaced a Sigma 24-70/2.8 that I had used for 6 years.
