Legacy Lenses - the good... the bad... the ugly?

You sir, are a genius. I love that.

But seriously, masking has to happen to sharpen/enhance the subject without stomping all over the beautiful fuzz that legacy lenses are great at.

How do you PP legacy lens photo's so they look better, but not like a file from a digital lens?

I know tweaking contrast helps a lot, but other than that I am just flailing around in PP.
