A friend in another industry calls such products "mystery meat". That's why, although I prefer American gear, when I do by Asian, I go for Benro, Velbon, or Hakuba, brands who sell their own stuff, instead of the mystery meat brands like Mantona, Feisol, or Giottos.

Feisol and Giotto are factorys that produce tripods and heads.

Feisol and Giottos are not 'mystery meat' brands. They manufacture their own innovative products in their own Taiwanese factories and sell them under their own brand names.

I lived in Taiwan for many years and know that these are very highly respected companies. Both have been producing quality products for years. They have done nothing to deserve your poorly informed slurs.
