1dsII finder teardown?
The diopter lens in my old 1dsII has come loose. (Finder is way out of focus, wheel does nothing, it rattles when you shake it, if you shake it and hold it at the correct angle the finder stays in focus until you move.)
Cranky about it because I had the whole top deck replaced not much more than a year ago.
My schedule is such that I can't deal with it being in Irvine for even my CPS-fast turnaround right now.
It looks like just a few screws and the back of the finder comes off. But even on this antique I'm a little nervous about diving in.
Anyone been there, done that?
(And hey, while I have your attention, any info on fixing the AF on the 50/1.4? I got so tired of paying to fix it I bought the Sigma 50/1.4. But that really puts my in the mood to DIY the Canon 50.
