What is CA?

Chromatic Aberration (CA), longitudinal CA is a specific type where you get some color fringes to the bokeh, magenta/purple tinged in front of focus point and green/cyan tinged behind the focus point.  This image shows it, if you see the black grid is purplish hued in front of focus point and green behind.  This isn't usually a problem in the field, but can show up in situations where you have a closeup of a reflective object, or something where the colored fringes will be noticeable.
