Yes, the d600 is significantly different in features and performance/speed.  The d700 and d300s have pro AF and a much better feature list, including body, than the d600. That's why the costs are close, the way you are comparing them.

A used, but pristine d300s, rather than a "new" d300s, will likely be several hundred $ cheaper than the a used, but pristine d700 though.
