Who thinks (besides me) that mft needs decent macro flash systems? Oly 4/3 has a macro ring flash and a twin flash setup, but it is heavy, bulky, and doesn't fit mft macro lenses. The old Oly OM system had similar flashes, but considerably smaller, but they don't really work (can't control output - I have tried) on mft.

Having a decent macro flash would really help in using mft for macro photos of spiders, insects etc.

I use this foamy thingy to diffuse the flash and redirect light from my vivitar df-293. I think it works pretty good. Same idea as robin wong's shoebox diffuser, but I can fold/roll up the craft foam into a pretty small package. I can usually get the foamy thingy into a good position with the flash in the hotshoe. Makes for easier handling for bug photos.

This is the only example I have in my gallery right now.
