It's not the center that's affected. It's the edges/corners due to a centering issue. I have yet to do some tests to see whether mine is affected the same way.

In any case, the lens seems to be a great walk-around lens, and I like it a lot for that purpose, but the distortions are off-putting. For high-quality, large-print work at wide angles, clearly a different lens is needed.

What is it exactly that you'd need to look for in regards the centering issue?
