I own the D600 and my Tammy 28-75mm is awesome....

For portraits (~50-75mm) ...sharp at f/2.8 in the center and very, very sharp at f/4 and above in the center.  The edges don't drop off too much either.

For landscapes, I get respectable results at f/2.8 and f/4 and very sharp right to the edges starting at f/5.6.

Plus, the non-BIM model focuses very fast on the D600.... this was one of the main reasons actually I switched from Canon (that and built in flashes in full frame)... was that I loved the 28-75 on the Canon also, but the micro-motor focus on that lens was DOG slow...
