D800E calibration with Reikan FoCal
It is up to you, preferably by also using an alternative test target, to decide if the target you used is reliable having regard to Nikon's D800 page 100 guidance.
Nikon say fine tune is not normally required in their fine tune guidance,
If with reliable testing fine tune is needed for so many different amounts with so many lenses the equipment is obviously defective.
I have not the slightest hesitation in saying that if I had a camera which with good testing varied so much with so many lenses, I would be asking for my money back or a replacement from the retailer.
Many problems turn out to be a lack of intimate knowledge of complex modern camera equipment.
