Yes, I have observed this effect with some manual Nikkor lenses too (100mm/2.8E from ca. 1983, 135mm/2.8E from ca. 1983, 105mm/2.5 from ca. 2002).

Simple test to check: point camera around noon against a blue sky and switch between AWB settings Auto WB and Daylight: with SEL1855 no difference, with the Nikkors strong brownish tint with Auto WB.

My solution: always use manual AWB with above lenses. Probably lenses from other manufacturers show the same effect, but this can depend on how old they are. Nikon e.g. has changed the nature (transmissiion characteristic resp. apparent "color") of their coatings a few times during the past 20 years.
