Re: Leo's Favourite Flower for February 2013

Hi Dean, Leo and all.  I've been feeling a bit sated with photographing flowers for a while: with over 4,000 saved images of our own garden flowers I've found it hard to see something fresh.  Here's a try at something different.  The intention was movement in the wind with a crisp flash-lit instant superimposed.  That didn't quite work as planned but I like the impressionistic result anyway.

K-5, DFA100/2.8 f/9.5 1/8 ISO80 onboard flash +1FV.  Iris reticulata Cantab.  Here it is a few moments later with no wind: same settings.

And another couple of conventional shots.  Snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis, same settings but 1/20

and an oriental hellebore, whose type name I forget, f/6.7 1/30
