LA-EA2 Compatible with Sigma 24mm F2.8?

I am thinking of purchasing the LA-EA2 since I have a few old Minolta AF lenses that I hope I can use on my NEX. But one lens I am concern about is a Minolta AF mount Sigma 24mm F2.8 Super-Wide II with "Focus AID & Programable" label on it.

It's a manual focus lens which I have no problem with. But it does not have control on the aperture and hence I am wondering if the LA-EA2 would allow aperture control electronically on the NEX camera?

Are there any other solutions other than those adapters with aperture pin cause the down side for these adapters is not knowing what aperture it's on and have to guess.
