I think there are chances that we will see such a lens one day and I'm really hoping for this.

Olympus and Panasonic are well aware that more and more pros are using their MFT systems nowadays (not sure they've planned that) and both companies have clearly stated that they are now targeting this market segment as well. That can't happen without releasing some pro-grade zooms and primes, and that's exactly what they are doing right now.

However Olympus seems to be willing to bring back their four thirds stuff on the table with that growing rumor of the "pro" hybrid body, and they may as well decide that the current FT lenses will do the job. I would be more confident if there wasn't the FT legacy on the Olympus side.
