XZ-1 wide angle better than XZ-2?
the original camera didn't utilise all of its size to produce its images, so the two XZ-series cameras both use approximately the same surface area to capture an image.
I think this part has your answer - they have the same lens and same surface area, so there shouldn't be any differences, not meaningful differences anyway.
We'd rather see a 24mm or 25mm equivalent, not the 28/29mm version in this model.
The XZ1 does not have a 24 or 25mm equivalent, it is the same 28 eq as the XZ2.
