Exposure control in a raw developer: misnomer?

Except for calling gain 'Exposure Compensation', of course If 'gain' is too hard to swallow, I like gollywop's 'Exposure Multiplier' next best. Of course we are now a hair away from 'Exposure Compensation'...

My vote would be for the control to be named "Scalar Badness" to imbue a visceral, macho feel.
