D600 dim light sports shooting settings

Summary: in most situations focus priority in AF-C mode is useless, and in fact detrimental.

i wanted to get back to you on this, because i went and shot a basketball game shortly after reading this post, and tried release+focus mode. and i'm finally getting around to looking through them now.

using focus priority for games like soccer, i very rarely miss focus. i feel like a significantly greater number of these have missed focus. numbers i've just never seen with the camera locked to focus priority mode, and many more that are only "sort of" in focus.

so, i'm going to have to disagree. it's not useless, and it's not detrimental. it just hurts frames per second. and i'd rather have accurate focus than framerate, so i'll be sticking to focus priority.
