I have been D100, D70, D70s, D200, D300 and D700. I still like out of camera jpgs from D300 the best. The D700 in raw is the best imho. Still use D200 for daycares as I like the original Capture batch process. At iso 200 the CCD has a sharpness quality I like. Prints up to 20x24 are fine. But it eats batteries and anything over iso 400 gets noisy fast. I have never shot a D7000 more than a few shots with someone elses. It did not feel right to me. Kind of like the D600. Dont know what I will do if one of my cams quits as D800 is overkill for my needs.

D300 will have small learning curve from D100. It still takes very usable images and is a good tool that I trust. Good battery life and usable to me up to iso 1600.
