75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 for FF same size/weight as new 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7

If a 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 full frame model can be made with similar size/weight as the new announced Olympus 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 for m4/3 sensor, why can't the Olympus lens at least have an aperture as bright as the full frame one?

There are tons of example out there, like this ~10yr old Tamron lens:

Shouldn't they be able to make it even faster than a full frame lens for the same size/weight? something like f/2.8-4? This new Oly lens will probably deliver better image quality than those el cheapo full frame equivalents, but still...
