Some D600 + 24-70 f2.8 pictures. Is that IQ expected?

I don't think I understand your point. If it's viewable, it isn't raw. If the raw NEF has been converted to JPEG in, say, Lightroom 4 (as the OP says he did), then it *has* been post-processed. Lightroom can do saturated colors and enhanced contrast just as Photoshop can.
