XZ-10 is really big news if you are into bokeh or tele shooting. Basically, you can get the *very same* bokeh that you get from a kit-zoom on any m4/3 camera, and even better bokeh since the tele end is longer than most kit zooms.

XZ-10: 4.7-23mm (26-130mm equivalent) f/1.8-2.7

actual FF equivalent 26-130mm, f/10.2-15.3

m43 Kit lens A: 14-42mm (28-84mm equivalent) f/3.5-5.6

actual FF equivalent 28-84mm, f/7-11.2

and for comparison another current Olympus compact:

XZ-2, 6-24mm f/1.8-2.5; FF equivalent 28-112mm f/8.4-11.7

So I don't understand your conclusion. There is nothing special about the XZ-10 that suggests you get better than average bokeh, except if you make the wrong comparison (you CAN change the lens on an m43 camera ...). In fact in much of the range XZ-10 is 2/3 stop worse in equivalent aperture than an m43 kit zoom or the XZ-2. And nobody (I hope) is going to buy those and expect tiny DOF ...

And even if the DOF would be similar or slightly better (it is, compared to some other 1/1.7"sensor compacts), it still has a smaller sensor = lower image quality. I don't think it has much chance competing at the recommended $399 price.

He did say m43 so I am not sure why you are giving the full frame equivalent apertures. The m43 equivalents would be more useful. Also you say you can change the lens on m43 but that is very expensive business for a 28 to 115 zoom equvalent fast lens if such a lens is available. The affordable m43 12-50 zoom is pretty slow.

Which m43 lens do you think will match the XZ-10? The kit lens only goes to 84mm equiv so you are going to get the extra isolation from that 130mm at f2.7 with the XZ-10. It is not just aperture that gives subject isolation and bokeh.
