GH2 or GH3 for film ?

I don't own either, but have been thinking the same thing and researched them because I want to record more film too.

From what I've seen. The GH3 is slightly better and going to have better reliability. Really complicated scenes (like heavy rainfall or snow) can stress the hacked GH2 a bit as it's running on the limit then, where the GH3 is safe.

But for regular use, the GH2 (and even the GH1) hacked will record a similar amount of data and quality to the brand new and twice as expensive GH3.

If you've got the money, go for a GH3 basically. If not, there isn't much that is going to disappoint you on a GH2.
