how many $$$ have legacy lenses saved for you? and aren't they fun?

i would love to come to new zealand!  the wife is a bit skeptical (as am I) of our kids' willingness to endure the plane ride - I live near Boston.  maybe in a few years, although the "lure of the kingfisher" may entice me to make the trip sooner!
