Struggle to Reason why anyone would want a 60mm f/2.8, when a 50mm f/1.8 is cheaper

I welcome these new sigma with open arms.....but

I have a hard time think of a shooting situation which would justify buying Sigma 60mm f/2.8 over Sony 50mm f/1.8???

When I had Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 on my Canon DSLR. I shot almost exclusively at either 28mm or 75mm - and truth be told - even 75mm often feel a tad short, wishing it was a 100mm f/2.8 instead.

For my shooting style, a 60mm would become a NEITHER-HERE-NOR-THERE kind of lens.  I cannot think of any shooting situation to justify its existence or price tag.....assuming it cost more than $300 by its new metal build

On the other hand.....the new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 ART has me drooling. Why can't Sigma just remake this lens into a Mirrorless one? It would easily become my favorite lens.
