Articulated screen vs. right-angle viewfinder

Managed to find a d5100 in a nearby Target (the closest dedicated camera shop is about 25 miles across town). Liked the swivel screen a lot, had no trouble with the one-dial + button in M mode, but didn't like the VF as much (found the tiny focus points hard to see compared to the huge D90 VF). I still hope to hear from folks who have worked the with right-angle VF,
