Re: RAW file disparity between Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5

Adobe recommends you set Photoshop to 16-bit ProPhoto color space if you are working with both Lightroom and Photoshop so that the working color spaces match.

Import your files into Lightroom and Export as 16-bit TIFF files to Photoshop if you want to work on the file in Photoshop. When you save the TIFF file it is automatically updated in LR.

Just be aware that you must not try to use the File/Save As command as a way to convert the 16-bit ProPhoto TIFF file to a JPG.  You can first use the Image/Convert to Profile/sRGB command before saving as a JPG of any size or you can set the image size to that appropriate for Web use then use the File/Save for Web and Devices command.
