Don't disagree, however, a 16mp sensor makes more sense where speed is required, not the D600 sensor suggested by the op. There is no current 20-24mp class full frame sensor and data processing combination that shoots faster than about six frames per second. Hardly high speed. To hit the 8-9fps level with contemporary sensors and processors would require a lower MP rating. 16mp could yield about a 2.25x faster frame rate than the d800 with no other changes, easily hitting the 8-9 FPS mark. New sensors or a higher bandwidth data processor would cost $$$ and defeat the purpose of an affordable model.
