My kit consists of solution, brush, MF cloth, and blower and I think collectively it was no more than $25. All are essential I believe for different situations.

The blower can remove dust and larger particles like lint, pet hair or loose dirt but you don't want to grind in pieces of stubborn dirt or sand with your cloth whether it's wet or dry and, if the blower can't handle it, a brush comes in handy. The proper lens solution and cloth are fine for fingerprints and/or water stains and will not leave any streaks unlike most liquids.

Here's an inexpensive starter kit.....

Is the blower and brush really needed?  I cant just use a microfibre cloth?
